CashoutGuard: fraud prevention for rewards, GPT, faucet, PTC and offerwall sites.

Best fraud prevention tools for offerwall and GPT sites (2026)

The best fraud tool for a rewards site depends on what you lose money to and how many low-value users you check. This page compares the tools GPT and offerwall owners actually use, with facts from each vendor's public pages as of September 2026. We make CashoutGuard, one of the tools listed, so we say plainly where another tool fits better.

Short answer

For a rewards, GPT or offerwall site, the right tool follows a user from signup through offer clicks and postbacks to the cashout, links accounts by device and payout address, and is priced per active user rather than per lookup. IP tools such as proxycheck.io and IPQS catch VPN and datacenter IPs, Fingerprint identifies devices, SEON, Verisoul and MaxMind minFraud suit larger fraud teams or payment risk, and CashoutGuard is built around the rewards cashout.

IP and VPN checks
proxycheck.io (from $3.99/month) and IPQS (free tier, then from $99/month), priced per lookup.
Device identification
Fingerprint (around $99/month plus usage); scoring, linking and review are yours to build.
Full fraud suites
SEON (around $699/month) and Verisoul (from $99/month, plan without API access).
Payment risk
MaxMind minFraud, pay as you go from $0.005 per query.
Rewards funnel and cashout queue
CashoutGuard: free up to 1,000 monthly active users, then from $29/month.

The short list

Each tool below is good at something. The question is whether that something is the fraud that costs your site money. Prices are entry prices from public pricing pages in September 2026; check each vendor for current terms.

What a rewards site needs from a fraud tool

Most fraud tools were designed for shops and banks, where the risk is a stolen card on a purchase. A rewards site has the opposite problem: it pays users, many of them earn a few cents, and the fraud is one person running many accounts, faking their country or letting a script do the offers. That changes what to look for.

  • It follows the whole path. Signup, offer click, conversion and cashout are one story. A tool that scores each call on its own cannot tell that an offer took eleven minutes when real players need three days.
  • It links accounts. Shared devices, payout addresses and emails are how multi-accounting is caught. The multi-accounts guide explains why the IP address is the weakest of these signals.
  • It sees past the IP. Residential proxies give each account a clean home IP. Browser timezone, language, WebRTC and the device still give them away, as the residential proxy guide shows.
  • The price fits small payouts. Per-lookup pricing grows with every check you run. Per-active-user pricing lets you check the same user at signup, at every offer and at cashout for one price.
  • It helps you decide. A score is only useful if someone acts on it: a cashout review queue, reasons you can read, allow and block lists, and webhooks.
  • It is safe to roll out. Shadow mode, where everything is scored and nothing is blocked, and fail-open behaviour when the service is slow.

The tools, one by one

proxycheck.io

Cheap, simple and supported by many GPT scripts, with a free tier of 1,000 queries per day and paid plans from $3.99/month (a price increase is announced for October 2026). It checks IP addresses for VPN, proxy and hosting use, and does that well. It has no device, account linking or payout address checks, and residential proxies look like home connections to it. Full comparison.

IPQualityScore (IPQS)

Broad reputation data for IP addresses, emails and devices in one API, and well known among GPT owners. There is a free tier of 1,000 lookups per month, then plans at $99, $499 or $999/month. Pricing is per lookup, each lookup is scored on its own and there is no cashout review queue. Full comparison.

Fingerprint

Widely regarded as the strongest device identification available, and a good building block for teams that write their own fraud engine. Pricing starts at around $99/month plus usage. It gives you an identifier; scoring, rules, account linking, VPN policy and review tooling are yours to build. Full comparison.

SEON

A complete fraud suite with device, IP, email and phone data and well known digital footprint lookups. Entry pricing is around $699/month and the product is aimed at companies with fraud teams in payments, lending, ecommerce and gambling. It is not built around offer clicks, postbacks and rewards cashouts. Full comparison.

Verisoul

A serious multi-account and fake account detection product with experience in rewards and gaming. The entry plan listed at $99/month does not include API access, published usage pricing is around $0.25 per validation, and larger plans are sales-assisted. Full comparison.

MaxMind minFraud

Transaction risk scoring from the company behind GeoIP, pay as you go from $0.005 per query for minFraud Score, with a trial of up to 1,000 queries. It is built for payments you receive; offer clicks, postbacks and cashouts to users are not concepts it models. Full comparison.

Building it in-house

Many GPT sites start with their own checks, and a few database queries go a long way. Grouping cashouts by payout address, normalising emails and grouping signups by IP and day will surface the largest rings on most sites. The cashout checklist lists the checks in the order that saves the most time.

The cost is in what comes next: keeping VPN, Tor and hosting lists fresh, collecting and comparing device data, catching emulators and spoofed phones, measuring offer speed per offer, building a review queue and tuning rules so honest users are not banned. In-house makes sense when you have engineers to maintain it; otherwise it tends to stop at the first few queries.

Where CashoutGuard fits, and where it does not

CashoutGuard is built for one kind of business: sites that pay users for offers, surveys, games, ads or claims. One script in the browser and one API call from your server score every signup, login, offer click, conversion and cashout, and return allow, review or block with the reasons. Accounts that share a device, payout address or email are linked into rings, cashouts arrive in a review queue, and new sites start in shadow mode.

It is not the right tool for everything. Pick another tool when:

  • You need email, phone and social footprint lookups for lending or payments: SEON covers that and CashoutGuard does not.
  • Your risk is stolen cards on purchases you receive: MaxMind minFraud is built for payment scoring.
  • You only need a best-in-class device ID for your own engine: that is exactly what Fingerprint sells.
  • Your budget is close to zero and you only block obvious VPN and datacenter IPs at signup: proxycheck.io is a fine, cheaper choice.

Using tools together

These tools do not exclude each other. A common setup keeps an existing IP check at signup, such as proxycheck.io or IPQS, and adds CashoutGuard for device linking, offer speed and the cashout queue. Sites that already use MaxMind GeoIP for other purposes can keep it; CashoutGuard does its own IP, VPN and hosting detection, and you can pass your own geolocation of the user's IP as geo_country so disagreements between the two are flagged.

How to test before you choose

  1. Count your checks. Multiply monthly active users by the checks you want per user: signup, logins, offer clicks, conversions and cashouts. At five checks per user, 20,000 users make 100,000 lookups a month, which is what per-lookup prices are applied to.
  2. Run it on real traffic without blocking. Use a trial or free tier in shadow mode for a week, so honest users are never affected while you look.
  3. Compare with your reversals. Match what the tool flagged with the conversions your offerwalls reversed. In CashoutGuard you can upload the monthly reversal export on the Accuracy page and see how much reversed money was flagged.
  4. Check twenty flagged accounts by hand. If most are clearly fraud, the tool fits your traffic. If many are honest, it will cost you users.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best fraud prevention tool for a GPT or offerwall site?

It depends on where you lose money. For multi-accounts, VPN farms and fast offers that end in cashouts, a tool built around the rewards funnel with device and payout address linking fits best. For cheap VPN blocking at signup, an IP checker is enough. For payment or lending risk, a general fraud suite fits better.

Is an IP or VPN check enough on a rewards site?

No. It catches Tor, datacenter and known VPN IPs, but residential proxies use real home connections and pass IP checks. Multi-accounts on one device or one payout address are invisible to IP checks.

What does fraud prevention cost for a site with 20,000 monthly users?

With CashoutGuard, the Starter plan covers up to 25,000 monthly active users with every event for $29/month. With per-lookup pricing it depends on how many checks you run per user; at five checks per user, 100,000 minFraud Score queries cost about $500.

Can I try a fraud tool without blocking real users?

Yes. CashoutGuard starts every new site in shadow mode: every event is scored and explained, but the action stays allow until you switch to enforce. The free plan covers 1,000 monthly active users with every signal.
