How does the IP checker know an IP is a VPN?
It compares the address with the published server lists of large VPN providers, known hosting and datacenter networks, Tor exit nodes and iCloud Private Relay, refreshed every day, and with the network (ASN) that owns the address.
Can it detect residential proxies?
Not from the IP alone: residential proxies use real home connections. CashoutGuard catches them by comparing the browser timezone and language with the IP country, WebRTC leaks and one IP seen with many timezones. The IP checker only shows what the address itself reveals.
Should I block every VPN user on my rewards site?
